GapFill.

Hi guys, hope you're well?!

I have my first male feature on the site today.
As much as I'm all for female empowerment, I thought it would be nice to introduce male features. Especially if the idea is a good one. meaning its easily accessible, easy to use and could benefit you. So if you'd like to find out more please keep reading.

So this Car Seat Gap Filler by GapFill is the brainchild of Stephan Eyeson. He has been featured in many entrepreneur related papers and sites. He's been featured on OHTV, in Paris speaking about a previous ventureRare rising stars, New entrepreneurs foundation and YHPonline.

He designed the concept of a Car Seat Gap filler to market here in the UK after spotting a similar idea in the US. In my opinion it's a reasonably good size, soft and will fit in any small gap between the car seats as you will see in my Product Review Video (will be up next friday).

I had a very quick chat with the entrepreneur to get more of an insight into the product.

1. What made you come up with the idea?

The idea originated from a similar product in the States. I thought "This could work really well in the UK". It was selling well in the US and no one was executing the product in Europe, so I thought I would be the first.

People always think the product you create has to be completely new but sometimes, it's really about seeing a gap and filling it (no pun intended!).  Most drivers, if not all drivers, suffer with the problem of dropping items in the space between their seat and the centre console, which can be very frustrating and also fairly distracting.

This is a problem I have experienced personally, and GapFill directly solved it for me!

2. How did you choose the right material?

My main requirement for GapFill was that it was made from a material that would fit into any car. So, I searched for a material that was flexible and could shrink or expand, depending on the size of the gap

In the end we decided on a hypo-allergenic polyester fibrefill, inside a neoprene casing to stop the product getting dirty.

I was surprised to have received two of these, it just shows its actually quite a good deal.

3. What are your top 3 benefits for having a GapFill?

  • Reduces the level of distraction for drivers.
  • Aids safer driving.
  • Saves you the hassle of losing items in your car and having to dig them out.

4. And where can we find you and Gapfill?

Much love to Stephan for sharing the info about his product. It goes to show if you work hard and produce something that will work as a solution, it will get noticed.
