 I have my first male feature on the site today. 
As much as I'm all for female empowerment, I thought it would be nice to introduce male features. Especially if the idea is a good one. meaning its easily accessible, easy to use and could benefit you. So if you'd like to find out more please keep reading.

In Africa: Lekki Leisure Lake

So when I was in Nigeria last, I did visit the leisure lake because I was in need of some adrenaline and what better way than to jet ski! Unfortunately it wasn't open and the website wasn't fully developed. So the other day I was looking to see if further development had been made. And it has! I'm planning on going over there soon so I need to know what is live and kicking. 

 

Right so the Leisure centre is a place full of activities, drink, food and fun. They other Pontoon boat rides, Jet Skiing, Quad Biking and Pedal Boating. It does look like a child friendly place, which is great if you have kids. But it looks just as awesome for young people looking to have a nice day with friends.

I love cake stores, I love cupcakes. My top cake stores are Lola's cupcakes and Hummingbird's bakery, their cakes here and out of the uk that i've tried are always yum. In Nigeria there are a few cupcake stores but I've decided to write about Chloe's Cupcake Heaven.

Back with another post. The more I dig, the more I discover more cute vendors. I have only been looking in Nigeria, but I will be checking out other African countries. Think Tinsel Town or Häagen-Dazs store where you can go in and have a cheeky sweet treat. Sometimes you want to indulge in some dessert. In Nigeria it’s becoming a trend and the founders of The Ice Cream Factory, Shade & Folusho Ogunleye started the cafe with a single focus in mind: to bring true, home-made, premium ice cream to the people of Nigeria and free them from the injustice of ice cream made from powdered mixes. As well as giving the new vibrant crowd of Nigeria somewhere to visit.

Your Feelings

I have a younger sister, she’s turning 18 this year. (omg omg omg) lol crazy how you can watch your younger sibling(s) grow right before your eyes.

 Now I would be doing an injustice to her as an older sister to not be there for her whenever she needs my help. And I always think about the amount of young people out there who don't have older siblings to turn to if they can't speak to their parents. 

Suicide is a topic many people don’t like to talk about. But it’s something that can happen to any of us. I strongly believe there is another way. Don’t let Feelings trick you into believing it’s the only way. Feelings are subject to change, don’t rely on Feelings because Feelings will let you down.  

At least talk through it? 

Homesick Blues

I’m not going to say I know how you feel, because we all experience home sickness differently. But you will get over it my loves. You will.

I’ve experienced homesickness and I dealt with it. I’ve experienced being homesick in 2 different scenarios, my time at university and my current time as a consultant. Being in an unfamiliar place with less familiar people is daunting. You have every right to feel out of your comfort zone. But you know what, you’ll be fine. It’s a learning curve we all must face at one point in our lives.

Tell us a bit about yourself?

Well at the moment I'm a postgraduate student – it’s not as fun as being an undergraduate by the way but yes I am back in school and currently doing the Legal Practice Course and a Masters in Legal Practice. 

I also run AskMe: Legal! AML is a social enterprise that offers legal support to people, especially those that have been affected by the legal aid cuts - people that find themselves in legal difficulty but can’t afford solicitors and aren't eligible for legal aid. Another branch of our work involves running workshops and holding networking events for young aspiring lawyers, in particular those from low socio economic backgrounds.
