The best way to get over this is to stop it as soon as you start thinking it.
Exercise A
First, you need get yourself out of your mental slump, put on some music. Music associated with a good time. Feel free to dance, sing along, if you're with someone, get them to join in lol.
Next, put a nice outfit together, brush your hair, make-up isn't necessary but if you're going ultra Glam then yes feel free. I personally do.
Next, call up your family, friends or other half and go out. If you're on a budget, go to a museum, a free show, coffee shop, or get a takeaway and eat in a park then go for a stroll!
Finally, get some rest and go to bed.
Exercise B
First you need to grab a mirror, say 'I am beautiful, I am awesome and I rock', say that as many times as you can and smile.
Next, get rid of that bad aura. It's bringing down the vibe. Sit on the floor or lie down on your back and breathe in and out. Think of all the great things about yourself, think about people you love and think of your achievements so far. And say 'I will do better, I will be better and I am becoming better'
Next, have a pamper session. Soak yourself in a warm bath with candles and scents. Have your hair washed and done, get a manicure/pedicure. I do these myself at home, with the right kit etc. It saves money and a trip to the beauty parlour.
Watch a programme, a funny movie, YouTube video or anything related to your career and ideas.
Finally, get some rest and go to bed.
