Hi Guys, I'm forever looking into new emerging companies in Africa, especially Nigeria because I do love going over there. This is the first post of this series and I hope it gives you a real insight into what's brewing over there. Might tempt you to relocate!
Nigeria’s Neo Cafe hopes to conquer Africa’s major cities with coffee chains. Just think, a cool young crowd sitting on sofas chatting, reading or working on their laptops and tablets. Men and women in business attire, starting their morning rituals whilst exchanging Monday morning blues or TGIF high fives. The cute uniformed staff on hand to help take those all important orders. Sounds familiar to a lot of us in the western parts of the globe, however this is a fresh and hip concept in Africa and it's here to stay.
Neo started by brothers Ngozi Dozie and Chijoke Dozie. There is a market for people who love coffee but do not have access to drinking coffee. This is where Neo came in. I love the idea, its fresh, its new to sub-saharan Africa. And what do you do when there is a demand and a gap in the market?? You get in there and make a difference. Neo state that their coffee beans are sourced from the shores of Lake Kivu in the Hills of Rwanda and nurtured then roasted. This is celebrating the return of coffee to its African roots, one cup at a time.
The benefits of new ventures like these are the new employments. I honestly do feel happy when I see young entrepreneurs setting these things up. It means potential employment for others, Nigeria isn't there yet but you have to start from somewhere.
- 39 Alfred Rewane Road, Old NNPC Building (Mulliner Towers, Ikoyi-lagos)
- 5th floor Airtel Building, Banana Island (Ikoyi-Lagos)
- 260 Boulevard L'umuganda, Kacyiru road, BHC Building. (Kigali, Rwanda)

How fresh is the logo and design, nice and simple. They could do without the circular image and just keep it as neo. source (www.mycafeneo.com) |
